Finance Intern

Thomson Reuters is a global data and insights company that addresses critical threats and emerging risks. They are seeking a Finance Intern to support financial analysis and modeling efforts related to U.S. government and national security missions, providing mentorship and practical skills in financial analysis and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete ad-hoc, analysis-based requests in an efficient and timely manner
  • Investigate, analyze, and report on areas of interest to the finance and strategy teams as directed
  • Communicate findings through written and oral presentation
  • Interact with multiple teams in a corporate setting
  • Work with a team of mentors to cultivate a positive internship experience

Qualification

Required

  • Ability to work in our McLean, VA office Tuesday-Thursday
  • Currently enrolled in a business, finance, or accounting related 4-year degree program
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.2
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office suite, with a focus on Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop formal presentations in a professional manner
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • At least 18 years old and meet the same employment standards as permanent employees
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information
  • U.S. Citizenship essential to comply with government contract/agency or department of Federal Government requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance
