The GEO Group, Inc. is a global leader in evidenced based rehabilitation, providing turnkey solutions for government partners. The FINANCE INTERN will assist the Reentry Finance and Pricing teams with financial planning, analysis, and pricing model development for various divisions.

Responsibilities

The Finance Intern evaluates monthly facility profit and loss statements and investigates variances to forecast
Audits monthly operating expenses to ensure proper General Ledger account coding
Assesses historical monthly trends and develops input assumptions for forecast updates
The Finance Intern facilitates pricing model development by accumulating expense inputs (staffing, real estate, capital expenditures, etc.)
Assists with ad hoc reporting or other analysis as needed, including Aging, Payroll Audits, Census, Fixed Assets and Month End Reports and Presentations
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Some college with demonstrated coursework in Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Business Administration
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
