The Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and business operations while supporting the finance team in daily activities that contribute to the company’s strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the preparation and posting of daily journal entries (cash, accruals, reclasses) with accuracy and timeliness
Review and validate supporting documentation to ensure proper coding and compliance with accounting standards
Maintain and enhance fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments
Support the management of general ledger schedules, including fixed assets and right-of-use (ROU) assets
Assist in calculating and recording depreciation and lease amortization
Play an active role in the month-end close process through journal preparation, batch uploads, and reconciliations
Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing schedules, analysis, and supporting documentation
Uphold accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and integrity
Participate in cross-functional projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc initiatives
Support account reconciliations and contribute to financial analysis
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and eager to learn
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
