They are seeking a Finance Intern responsible for reconciling manual bank accounts, assisting in the month-end close process, and maintaining communication with store managers and banks.
Responsibilities
Monitor all outstanding items on the depository reconciliation system on a daily basis
Sending out letters, contacting various sources to resolve any outstanding issues
Thoroughly document any actions taken regarding missing deposits, missing checks, under / over deposits, debit and credit memos, etc
Create journal vouchers in a timely manner for resolved items for all bank reconciliations
Assist in Month end close process
Submitting JV entries for posting to Oracle ledger system
Completing assigned bank reconciliations after completing of month end process
Handle phone calls, questions and correspondences with store managers, banks and division management
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's Degree with an Accounting or Finance focus
Ability to work in a year-round internship position no less than 12 months
Required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours, In Office
Must have a good understanding of accounting principles in order to reconcile account balances
