Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI) is a leading specialty minerals company that develops and markets a broad range of mineral products. The Finance Intern will assist the Accounting department with daily tasks and special projects, including the preparation of financial statements and analysis of expenses.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in accordance to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
Assist in the analysis of expenses.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports.
Assist team members in the preparation of monthly financial closes.
Ensure all business transactions are recorded for areas of responsibility, including maintaining key account reconciliations.
Assist with statistical analysis and other special projects.
Qualification
Required
Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s program – entering or in at least third year of FT study.
Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
