GCM Grosvenor is an investment management firm that specializes in hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure investments. The Credit Research Summer Intern will gain exposure to the alternative investment industry, focusing on credit strategies, and will participate in various responsibilities related to investment analysis and portfolio management.
Responsibilities
Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of existing and potential investments in alternative credit managers across both liquid and illiquid strategies
Tracking, analyzing, and interpreting trends in specific strategies and related capital markets
Assessing new investment strategies and monitoring current conditions
Preparing internal and external market and investment commentary monthly
Communicating manager and strategy-related issues to the Investments group, Investment Committee, and investors
Providing market, strategy, and manager insights to the broad Investment team
Participating in due diligence of potential new investments
Attending department and strategy review meetings
Supporting senior credit team members with client-related deliverables
Completing a summer project related to the industry to present to the Investments department
Qualification
Required
Junior/third year pursuing BA/BS with concentration in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field with superior academic performance
Strong interest and knowledge of the investment industry, particularly alternative investments
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Excellent work ethic, professionalism, and integrity
Superior organization, decision making, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Team player, self-starter, independent and critical thinker
Flexible schedule allowing for late nights and weekends
