Ameris Bank is a purpose-driven company dedicated to bringing financial peace of mind to communities. They are seeking a Credit Intern who will learn the loan process specific to underwriting and credit portfolio management, while assisting in various projects and duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Shadow Credit Admin colleagues, including Portfolio Managers and Underwriters
Spend time interacting with other business partners which may include Treasury and Wealth Management
Participate in corporate training opportunities to further aid in professional development
Develop and analyze all types of credit information pertaining to diverse types of loans
Assist in developing credit information for use by senior credit personnel
Conduct analysis on basic credit requests
Prepare financial statement spreads to support loan requests
Develop cash flow analysis on simple new and existing loan requests
Provide assistance to loan officers or Credit Administration as requested
Ensure credit files include current financial statements and other required documentation
Qualification
Required
Beginner proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products
Must have the ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
Must have the ability to communicate in one-on-one and group settings such as business meetings, sales calls, training sessions
Must be officially enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor program with a major in areas such as Business, Finance, or Accounting
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and related training or experience required
