Cost Management Intern - Quantity Surveying (Nov 2026)

The Cost Management Intern will support cost planning, tendering, reporting, and change control activities for built-environment projects while gaining pre- and post-contract experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Cost Planning: Help with cost modelling and planning to support project budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Support Tendering Activities: Participate in managing tender processes and documentation to aid procurement efforts
  • Contribute to Reporting: Assist in preparing financial and due diligence reports that inform project decision-making
  • Help Manage Change Control: Support the review and management of change control procedures to ensure commercial accuracy throughout project delivery

Qualification

Required

  • Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment
  • You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity
  • You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or any related discipline
  • Able to work full time hours from 16 November 2026 – 19 February 2027
  • You must have full working rights to work in New Zealand before applying

  • 12-week paid internship (mid-November to mid-February)
