CorVel Corporation is a national provider of risk management solutions, and they are seeking a motivated Corporate Tax Intern to join their tax team for the upcoming summer. This internship will provide students with an opportunity to build a strong foundation in corporate tax while contributing to real-world projects and collaborating with tax professionals.
Responsibilities
Assist and prepare tax return preparation: Support the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and related schedules
Perform tax research: Analyze regulations, rulings, and tax law changes to help the team interpret impacts on the business
Collaborate with tax professionals to gather necessary information and documents for tax projects
Help respond to internal requests for tax-related data
Participate in special projects: Contribute to process improvements, technology initiatives, and cross‑functional projects

Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate degree program or have recently obtained your degree (within the last 12 months) in Accounting or related field
Interest in corporate tax and a base knowledge of accounting principles
Strong attention to detail
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize applicable Microsoft applications (specifically Excel) to meet work needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
