Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions provides customized specialty insurance solutions supported by risk control and claims services. The Catastrophe Risk Analyst Intern will assist with catastrophe analysis projects within the Actuarial division and gain experience in catastrophe modeling, account pricing, and data analysis while supporting professionals with day-to-day assignments and special projects.
Responsibilities
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to assist on various projects related to catastrophe analysis within our Actuarial division
This position has been designed for college students and provides challenging and meaningful work experience and training related to catastrophe modeling, account pricing, and data analysis
You will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by working with and assisting professionals with day-to-day job assignments and special projects
Qualification
Required
Must be working towards a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Risk Management, Programming, Natural Sciences, or a related field and graduating in spring of 2027 or later
Proficiency with computer software including Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and other data entry and spreadsheet applications and programs
Strong analytical aptitude
Written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail and organization skills
Preferred
Full-time, paid internship lasting approximately 10-12 weeks
