Colliers International operates as a global real estate specialist. They are seeking a Brokerage Intern to support a high-performance retail investment sales team specializing in shopping centers and single-tenant net lease properties, assisting in various stages of the transaction process.
Responsibilities
Lease Abstraction Review and abstract lease documents
Financial Underwriting Analyze operating statements, tenant reconciliations, appraisals, budgets, and tenant sales data
Financial Modeling Build detailed pro forma cash flow projections and valuation models using Argus and Excel.
Market Research Gather sales and lease comps, track economic drivers, and analyze trends using CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, and industry sources.
Transaction Support Prepare investment offering packages, coordinate due diligence, and assist in marketing and negotiations.
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Strong organizational skills
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively by asking insightful questions and incorporating feedback.
Ability to be an independent worker with a team player attitude.
Ability to interact with internal and external clients professionally in a fast paced, high-energy environment.
Proficiency with MS Office including MS Excel & PowerPoint.
Candidates must be prepared to submit 2 financial models that they developed during their academic studies.
Preferred
Real Estate majors or previous experience working in commercial real estate preferred.
Experience in Argus, SmartSheet, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign), CoStar, Crexi
