Mapfre Insurance is a global insurance company operating in 38 countries and is the largest auto and home insurer in Massachusetts. The Actuarial Intern will support real-world business initiatives by analyzing datasets, assisting with actuarial models and tools, presenting recommendations, and collaborating with actuarial and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets and provide actionable business insights
Assist in building, enhancing, and refining actuarial models and tools
Present findings and recommendations to business partners and leadership
Collaborate with actuarial professionals and cross-functional teams on strategic business projects
Participate in actuarial and insurance training sessions, networking opportunities, and community volunteer activities
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Completion of at least one actuarial exam
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS is a plus
10-week internship from June 6th - August 13th in Webster, Massachusetts
