CNO Financial Group is an insurance and financial services company serving middle-income America through life and health insurance, annuities, financial services, and workforce benefits. The Actuarial Intern will support experienced actuaries with day-to-day work in life, health, and annuity products, including valuation calculations, actuarial software, technical documentation, and pricing and valuation projections.
Responsibilities
Simplifying and standardizing valuation calculations
Work with actuarial software packages
Providing clear documentation and communication of technical work
Improve actuarial projections for pricing and valuation
Qualification
Required
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Progress towards a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics or related discipline
Status as a rising junior or rising senior, approx. graduation dates of December 2027-June 2029
At least one passed Actuarial exam towards SOA designation
Availability to work 40 hrs/week for 10-12 weeks during the summer
willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours
Prior internship experience
Balancing education and a part time job during the school year
Participation with university clubs
Two or more passed exams towards SOA designation
This position may work fully remote from any US-based location, provided they are able to work Central or Eastern Time hours
All work must be performed within the United States, and occasional travel to corporate offices may be required
Preferred
Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred
