The Actuarial Internship Program offers interns valuable experience in actuarial functions, including pricing, product development, and financial analysis, while working closely with experienced actuaries.
Responsibilities
Work directly with experienced actuaries in different areas of actuarial practice which may include pricing and product development, reserve calculations, actuarial modeling, financial analysis, asset liability management, or investments.
Contribute to a wide variety of exciting and interesting projects.
Present to leaders in the organization about their contributions.
Engage in a variety of networking events throughout the summer.
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with an accredited college or university
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong computer/technical skills - Knowledge of Excel is required
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Preferred
Preferred major includes actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or other analytical/business-related major
Successful completion of one or more Society of Actuaries exams is preferred
Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R is preferred

Possibility of full-time employment after graduation
