Zurich Insurance provides insurance solutions for individual customers, businesses, local authorities, and large organisations. Responsibilities

  • Help answer one of the most important questions in insurance: how much will future claims cost?

  • Your work will play a key role in ensuring the long-term strength and stability of the business
  • You'll help determine the price of insurance products by analysing risk, customer behaviour, and market trends
  • From improving customer segmentation to developing innovative pricing models and technology, you'll contribute to solutions that keep us competitive while delivering value to customers
  • As part of the actuarial team, you'll learn from experienced actuaries and analysts across the UK and our wider global business
  • As well as working alongside qualified actuaries, we also provide internal actuarial training to help you understand some of the other work we do, so you can get insight into work that you may not necessarily get a chance to be involved in

  • You'll need strong mathematical skills, as an analytical approach and a high level of numerical aptitude are essential
  • The ability to learn new technical skills, be comfortable with large amounts of data or information, and have an eye for detail
  • Excellent team-working, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong interest in pursuing an actuarial career post-graduation, alongside maintaining office performance
