The Accounting Intern role is a part-time position focused on providing exposure to various aspects of accounting, particularly sub-ledger processes, while supporting finance and accounting shared services.
Responsibilities
Transaction Processing: Process and post documents, including accounts payable, customer invoicing, and cash application. Reconcile vendor statements.
Sales Tax: Assist with sales tax return processing and payment, tax research, and audit support.
General Ledger/Analysis/Audit: Support general ledger processes, perform spreadsheet analysis, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with audit information requests.
Continuous Improvement/Special Projects: Identify and recommend process improvements, evaluate metrics to reduce errors, and review/revise written procedures.
Qualification
Required
Junior or senior student pursuing a BS or MSA degree in Accounting.
A solid understanding of accounting and general ledger principles.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills.
