The Accounting Intern will support various financial processes, gaining exposure to accounts payable, sales invoicing, and cash application in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Process and post documents, including accounts payable, customer invoicing, and cash applications. Reconcile vendor statements.
Assist in sales tax return processing, payments, tax research, and audit support.
Perform spreadsheet analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and support audit requests.
Identify process improvements, evaluate metrics, and recommend solutions to reduce errors.
Work with cross-functional teams, gaining experience in a global manufacturing finance environment.
Develop a solid understanding of the assigned role by engaging in on-the-job training and receiving mentorship.
Complete assigned tasks with guidance from your supervisor and team, gaining valuable insight into functional operations, management practices, and leadership strategies.
Build technical, managerial, and leadership competencies through hands-on experience and exposure to various assignments, preparing for a successful future as an employee or manager.
Actively participate in team projects and contribute to team meetings to support collaboration and achieve project goals.
Qualification
Required
Enrollment as a junior or senior in a BS or MSA degree in Accounting
Strong communicator with great verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
A willingness to learn and adapt
Preferred
Basic knowledge of SAP or other accounting software
Understanding of general ledger accounting
Experience with financial reconciliations and auditing procedures
Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities showcasing leadership and initiative
