The Accounting Intern supports the Accounting and Finance team by assisting with general accounting activities, financial reporting, and administrative tasks, providing hands-on exposure to corporate accounting operations and financial processes.
Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities by gathering documentation and performing routine reconciliations
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review, coding, and filing
Help maintain accurate and organized financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Support audits and internal reviews by preparing schedules and responding to information requests
Analyze basic financial data and assist with reports as directed by Accounting leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain required financial information
Adhere to internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and professional accounting standards
Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Interest in gaining practical experience in a corporate or manufacturing accounting environment
