CSW Industrials Inc. is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist with accounts receivable transactions and identify issues on customer accounts. The role involves understanding expense data flow, applying GAAP concepts, and improving Excel proficiency while completing various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
Identify the problem on customer accounts, assist with the execution of accounts receivable transactions, clean up data and the variances
Research short pays invoices on a regular basis
Review any dispute: price and quantity shipped
Clean data (duplicates, missing descriptions, misclassifications)
Validate and consolidate to get missing tax area in JDE
Setup tax area
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
Set up new customer accounts
Gather audit support for external and internal auditors
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Customer-focused with a professional and positive attitude
Ability to lift, move, and organize files and boxes (up to ~25 lbs)
Ability to stand, bend, and move during organization projects
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
