The Accounting Intern supports the Corporate Accounting function by delivering accurate financial information and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting audit activities.
Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and assist with month‑end and quarter‑end close activities
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
Perform variance analysis and investigate unusual movements
Support compliance with US GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and reporting requirements
Execute SOX control activities such as documentation, testing support, and audit evidence preparation
Identify potential control issues and escalate appropriately
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external and internal auditors
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, or automation in accounting activities
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Corporate Accounting and Shared Service function
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
Minimum completion of sophomore status in good standing
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Problem-solving skills, assertiveness and strong initiative
Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning
Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles
