IGT is a global leader in gaming, delivering entertaining and responsible gaming experiences. The Accounting (Fixed Assets) Intern will work closely with the Fixed Assets team to learn daily processes and assist with reporting responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Post journal entries into an integrated ERP system
Apply accrual-based accounting and meet the requirements of regulated and publicly traded organizations
Executed corporate policies
Prepare semi-complex journal entries with proper accounting classifications
Utilize analytical skills for managing complex general ledger accounts
Perform G/L account reconciliations and maintenance
Qualification
Required
Sophomore standing at accredited university, preferably Accounting or Finance major
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines
Detail-oriented, self-motivated team player
Ability to work 37.5 hours/week over the summer months and 20 hours/week during the academic semester
Preferred
Intermediate PC skills are preferred with an emphasis on Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Access
