Avery Dennison is a global materials science and digital identification solutions company. The Accounting Co-op will provide part-time accounting support for North America operations, assist with the monthly close process and analyses, meet reporting deadlines, and contribute to projects that standardize and streamline accounting processes.
Responsibilities
Participate in monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and any analysis associated with those activities
Support business unit and accounting managers/analysts on various analyses
Complete projects directly linked to the Accounting Team efficiency initiatives
Provide Accounting support for North America operations while collaboratively working with the Accounting Team and other Functions
Assist with the close process and various analyses to ensure all reporting deadlines are met
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a BS in Accounting or Business or related field required
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Sponsorship is not available now or in the future
Must be willing to join during at least two semesters, including one non-summer term
Ability to travel 10 - 20 percent of the time
Preferred
Previous internship/co-op experience or relevant work experience (a plus)
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, and experience in building financial models (a plus)
Experience via student organizations, such as Beta Alpha Psi, Association of Latino Professionals of America, Multicultural Business Association, Accounting Association, American Accounting Association, etc
