Scotiabank is hiring 2027 summer interns to support its Investment Banking teams. Interns will assist with client pitches, financial analysis and modeling, transaction materials, and client presentations.
Responsibilities
Generally supporting client pitches
Evaluating and analyzing the financial needs of corporate clients, including the development of financial models, marketing materials and presentations
Financial and written analysis of companies and industries, including the development of valuation models, pro-forma financial statements and comparable company analysis, etc
Sourcing the data required to perform financial analysis
Drafting prospectuses and marketing presentations for transactions
Preparing client presentations
Qualification
Required
You are working towards a Bachelor's or master's degree between December 2027 and August 2028 within Business, Accounting, Science Technology, Engineering, Economics, or Math disciplines
You have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office especially within MS Excel
You have excellent leadership capabilities and communication skills (both written and verbal)
You have a record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
You pride yourself on having strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
You possess time management skills to manage multi-functional accountabilities through prioritization, delegation, motivation, conflict resolution and the promotion of ideas
You are a quick learner and understand the risks associated with new products, processes and routine
