They are offering a 10-week summer internship for students pursuing a degree in actuarial science or a related mathematical field, where interns will gain hands-on experience in evaluating reinsurance proposals and developing pricing models.
Responsibilities
Projects may include building and improving upon pricing models used by the Department, developing dashboards with data visualization tools that will help us relay pertinent information to our clients, plus other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the company and department
Qualification
Required
The candidate should be working towards a degree in an actuarial science or other mathematical field of study with a minimum GPA of 3.2 and above
Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and a desire to learn are a must
Familiarity with Excel is required
Preferred
A demonstrated interest in actuarial science through participation in the Casualty Actuarial Society exam process is preferred and encouraged
Experience with VBA for Excel, Tableau, SQL, R, Python or similar software is a plus
