They are seeking a summer intern for their Finance & Accounting team to support core accounting operations, financial reporting, and finance activities, providing hands-on experience with financial systems and data integrity.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Collaborate with accounting team members to analyze financial data and identify process improvement opportunities.
Contribute to intern group projects and attend professional development sessions hosted by HR and Finance leadership.
Engage with cross-functional teams to understand the broader financial ecosystem at Hartford Funds.
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with automation tools such as Alteryx is a plus.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in financial reporting, investment operations, or financial services.
