Coeur Mining is a U.S.-based, well-diversified precious metals producer with multiple operations across North America. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their Internal Audit team as a summer intern, where the role will involve assisting with various audit projects and gaining real-world experience in the field.

Responsibilities

Participate in all phases of various audit projects such as operational audits, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing, or other projects and duties as assigned.
With oversight and direction from the Internal Audit team, the intern will:
Develop and prepare internal audit templates and work papers
Assemble relevant information for use in planning and execution of internal audit projects
Provide administrative support to the Internal Audit Team
Perform audit procedures and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness internal controls
Report progress of internal audit responsibilities during daily team stand-up meetings
Effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization to support Internal Audit team
Determine compliance with policies and procedures
Communicate findings to management and draft comprehensive and complete reports of audit area under guidance of supervisors.
Follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective action has been implemented

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in the area of Finance or Accounting
Standing junior or senior at an accredited university
Minimum GPA 2.5
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word
Self-starter, people-oriented. Ability to adapt to changing environment and ability to multi-task.
Strong teammate able to collaborate with teams on complex assignments
Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without requiring current or future sponsorship for employment.
Ability to work individually and within a team
Curiosity and willingness to learn!
