S&P Global is a leading provider of credit ratings and analytics, and they are seeking a Summer Intern for their Quality Engineering team. The role involves developing and executing test scripts, assisting in test strategy creation, and collaborating within Agile teams to ensure high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
Learn to develop, maintain, and execute test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and usability testing (manual and automated)
Assist in creating test strategies, plans, and scenarios to ensure full coverage of business and technical requirements
Gain hands-on experience with SQL for test validation and data analysis
Support defect tracking and produce basic testing metrics
Collaborate closely in Agile teams, participate in technical discussions, and help maintain documentation
Contribute to process improvements and support application enhancements
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Basic understanding of programming (Python, Java, C/C++, or similar) and SQL
Interest in software quality assurance, testing, and the software development lifecycle
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Willingness to learn new tools and technologies (such as Selenium, Tosca, Postman, etc.)
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Exposure to automation testing tools or frameworks
Experience with web services or APIs
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
