Selective Insurance is a property and casualty insurance company seeking a summer intern for its Information Technology department. The intern will support cloud modernization, application migration, AI-enabled development tools, legacy-system evaluation, and technology solution research in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
Support the modernization of applications, processes, and infrastructure through cloud-based technologies and solutions
Assist with migrating and promoting on-premises applications and code to cloud environments
Leverage AI-enabled tools, including GitHub Copilot, to improve development efficiency, code quality, and team productivity
Evaluate legacy systems and applications to identify opportunities for modernization and process improvement
Research, analyze, and recommend technology solutions that align with business and IT objective
Qualification
Required
Must be a current college student majoring in Computer Science or a related field to qualify
Be someone who takes ownership over work, has the ability to self-motivate and executes on delegated tasks
Demonstrates passion in Data, Analytics, and AI
Demonstrates an interest in learning about the insurance industry
College credit can be earned depending on your institution's requirements
High School Diploma required

Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level
