Meritage Homes is a Top 5 builder dedicated to building energy-efficient homes and communities. The Full Stack Developer Intern will work closely with business leaders to learn about the homebuilding industry while participating in cross-functional projects and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area of Information Technology.

Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship
Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
Present real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy
Knowledge of performance engineering which includes the life of the transaction, beyond the life and something that could cause the communication to stop
Breaking down systems to identify timing in each lag to see opportunities to fix and provide solutions for a faster transaction file
Focus on data integrations/API and performance based cloud computing systems such as Azure Cloud, Google, AWS, Redhat and etc.
Learn about cloud based technology
Implement both front end and back end development to improve usability of the website and portal
Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic
Qualification
Required
Actively enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college

Preferred
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited university at the time of the internship, preferably a rising Junior or Senior in any of the following disciplines.
Experience working in a team environment on cross team or functional projects
Experience dealing with ambiguity
Experience in a leadership capacity or role and influencing peers
C# Programming experience
Experience in a team coding environment
Knowledge of cloud computing systems (Azure)
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
