The Software Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience in designing and implementing imaging algorithms while working closely with a mentor and participating in agile development practices within a regulated environment.

  • As a Software Engineering Intern on the Imaging Software Team, you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience designing, implementing, and executing imaging algorithms on CPU and GPU platforms
  • Working closely with an experienced mentor, you will apply signal processing techniques while contributing to real-world healthcare technology
  • You will be exposed to agile development practices and the software development lifecycle within a regulated environment, gaining insight into how high-quality medical software is developed at scale
  • At the end of your internship, you will present your work and results to a group of peers, sharing both technical outcomes and lessons learned

Qualification

Required

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with signal processing techniques and theories
  • Knowledge of and/or experience programming in an object-oriented language such as C++, Python; knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Experience and/or demonstrated interest in working with GPU programming languages such as CUDA
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems; strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
  • Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking 'outside the box'; effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including engineers, project managers, and clinical specialists
  • Self-starter with good organizational and time management skills
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future
  • For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Bothell, WA
