Qualcomm is a company of inventors that unlocked 5G and is looking for bright, energetic, motivated students to join their Canada 2026 intern class. The intern will support performance management profiling and debug tool development activities for the next generation SoCs, working with a team of industry experts in CPU Power, Performance, and Limits management Firmware Development.
Responsibilities
Supporting performance management profiling and debug tool development activities for the next generation SoCs.
Qualification
Required
Excellent programming skills in C, Python
Sound knowledge of embedded development; RTOS concepts
Ability to debug, root cause, and resolve FW issues spanning multiple subsystems in an SoC. Proven ability to own problems and drive them to a resolution
Solid understanding in Computer Architecture/microarchitecture concepts
Basic understanding of Microcontroller/Microprocessor programming
Strong problem-solving skills
Effective interpersonal communications skill (written and verbal)
Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented
Self-motivated, hardworking, and flexible
In study towards a bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or related field
Eligible candidates must have a graduation date in December 2027 or later, including May or June 2028
For 16-month internships: must be available May/June 2026 - August/September 2027
For 12-month internships: must be available May/June 2026 - May/June 2027
Preferred
Academic experience with industry standard Architecture / system specification, SoC design, Microcontroller firmware development
Experience in JTAG, Debug, Gitlab, and Jira all a plus
