Parsons Corporation is a technology firm providing solutions for defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure. The Engineering Intern/Co-op will support a development team in creating computer network operations capabilities, collaborating with software developers, and performing quality assurance and equipment testing.
Responsibilities
Work directly on a small, tight knit development team helping to develop and deliver state of the art computer network operations (CNO) capabilities
Work directly with expert software developers to design and develop tools to achieve maximal mission effect
Will perform quality assurance (QA) and testing activities with some of the equipment. This may include field testing outdoors in the Northern Virginia area
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen (will be required to obtain, maintain or currently possess a security clearance)
Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Must have a GPA 3.0 or above
The position may require some lifting and moving of equipment (under 50 lbs), cables, tripods, clamps, etc
Preferred
C++ and/or Java development experience
Python experience
Web application experience
Linux experience
Courses or experience with network protocols and tools such as wireshark
Courses or experience with designing multi threaded applications
