State Street is a global financial services provider that helps institutional investors manage risk and drive performance. They are seeking a GlobalLink Electronic Trading Platform Software Engineer intern to contribute to the development and enhancement of electronic trading systems, focusing on scalable microservices and backend components.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and enhancement of Global Link’s electronic trading systems, supporting multi-asset class execution and post-trade workflows used by leading global asset managers.
Assist in building scalable, event-driven microservices deployed in AWS Kubernetes clusters, using technologies such as Java, Node.js, Oracle, and modern web frameworks.
Work with the team to define high-level technical requirements and architecture for the back-end services.
Design and implement backend components using core Java and JEE technologies (e.g., concurrency, JDBC), applying object-oriented principles and refactoring techniques to improve code quality and maintainability.
Develop and optimize relational database models and queries using SQL and PL/SQL, contributing to scalable data solutions that support high-volume trading workflows.
Evaluate and implement new technologies into the platform.
Write relevant documentation and diagrams.
Qualification
Required
Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines who are interested in converting to a full-time role post-graduation
