Northrop Grumman is a defense and aerospace company offering an engineering internship within its Defense Systems Sector. The intern will develop proficiency in model-based systems engineering, support agile development, design software system architecture artifacts, trace requirements, and collaborate with software engineering teams and subject matter experts.
Responsibilities
Gain proficiency in Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (e.g., DOORS or Cameo)
Work in an agile development environment
Design and define software system architecture artifacts for new or existing Software Products
Requirements creation and tracing to software components
Work with a team of software developers, other Software System Engineers and SME’s (subject matter experts)
Qualification
Required
Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during **summer 2027.**
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher
