The internship program aims to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a comprehensive understanding of the organization and its functions, while the successful candidate will work on optimizing Wi-Fi roaming using generative AI applications.
Responsibilities
Wireless Insight and Gen AI Integration: Self Learn the Wireless environment based on Wireless Insight events and data and apply roaming algorithm accordingly to optimize the performance
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, development and testing of solutions to optimize Wi-Fi roaming based on Wireless Insights events and device data utilizing generative AI applications
Research on existing Wi-Fi roaming techniques
Familiarize with the Zebra Wireless Insights and Wireless Analyzer solutions
Develop a Gen-AI model aimed at enhancing Wi-Fi roaming efficiency
Assist with data collection and processing to train the AI model and validate for accuracy
Integrate the research results with the current Zebra solution
Prepare detailed reports and documentation on project progress
Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
Increase technology knowledge and skills
Develop team-based work proficiencies
Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Must have an anticipated graduation date between 2026-2027
Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Programming languages: C and C++, Java, Python
Software engineering principles
Experience with Android operating system and development tools
Experience with Wi-Fi technology
Experience with machine learning and AI tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
Ability to collaborate as part of a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills
