TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and they are seeking a Trending Sports Product Operation Project Intern to join their Search Operations Team. The role involves monitoring global sports trends, managing content assets, collaborating cross-functionally, and tracking market insights to enhance user engagement.
Responsibilities
Real-Time Trend Ops: Monitor global sports breaks (NBA, UEFA, F1, etc.) and breaking news; execute end-to-end trending topics, from content packaging to landing page optimization
Asset & Content Management: Curate and manage multi-format content assets (text, images, video) to ensure high-quality, timely updates across in-app sports channels
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with product, design, and localized teams to ensure seamless execution of sports campaigns and feature updates
Market Insights: Track sports communities and social media trends to identify emerging memes and user interests for content inspiration
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (all majors welcome)
Passionate sports fan with strong knowledge of football, basketball, or other mainstream/emerging sports; familiar with athletes, sports culture, tactics, and community memes/discourse
Strong execution skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced trending-content environment
Available to work on-site at least 4 days per week
Proficiency in English, and fluency in written and spoken Mandarin is needed to manage stakeholders in China market
Preferred
Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude; prompt engineering experience is a plus
