Softlines Apparel and Accessories Licensing Intern, Summer/Fall, 2026

The Walt Disney Company is a global leader in entertainment and consumer products. This internship will support the baby/kids licensed apparel business, focusing on creating fashion products and driving strategy to maximize revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Research and respond to licensee requests
  • Attend meetings and distribute notes to the category team
  • Maintain and update buy boards
  • Manage Box folders (including POS, on-order, pitches, and franchise info)
  • Serve as liaison for marketing approvals
  • Maintain and distribute licensee lists
  • Work with associates on PR/Social Media requests
  • Collect information for business analysis including trend research, and retail shopping visits/updates
  • Provide management support in the contract and amendment process when requested
  • Prepare product presentations

Qualification

Required

  • Skilled at managing several projects for different brands simultaneously with strong attention to detail and organization
  • A self-starter who has experience problem solving with creative solutions
  • A team player with the ability to embrace a fast-moving, action-oriented environment
  • Excellent computer literacy; Strong Proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office suite
  • Clear written and verbal communication for effective teamwork and stakeholder collaboration
  • The capacity to effectively prioritize tasks and promptly adjust to evolving business requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a Senior
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business or Communications
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines

Preferred

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for evolving trends in apparel and accessories, coupled with a strong interest in the business aspects of the industry
  • Prior coursework in licensing
