The Walt Disney Company is a global leader in entertainment and consumer products. This internship will support the baby/kids licensed apparel business, focusing on creating fashion products and driving strategy to maximize revenue.
Responsibilities
Research and respond to licensee requests
Attend meetings and distribute notes to the category team
Maintain and update buy boards
Manage Box folders (including POS, on-order, pitches, and franchise info)
Serve as liaison for marketing approvals
Maintain and distribute licensee lists
Work with associates on PR/Social Media requests
Collect information for business analysis including trend research, and retail shopping visits/updates
Provide management support in the contract and amendment process when requested
Prepare product presentations
Qualification
Required
Skilled at managing several projects for different brands simultaneously with strong attention to detail and organization
A self-starter who has experience problem solving with creative solutions
A team player with the ability to embrace a fast-moving, action-oriented environment
Excellent computer literacy; Strong Proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office suite
Clear written and verbal communication for effective teamwork and stakeholder collaboration
The capacity to effectively prioritize tasks and promptly adjust to evolving business requirements
Currently enrolled as a Senior
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business or Communications
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
Preferred
Demonstrated enthusiasm for evolving trends in apparel and accessories, coupled with a strong interest in the business aspects of the industry
