Universal Destinations & Experiences is focused on enhancing the Guest experience through innovative product strategies. The Digital Product Management internship will support product lifecycle activities, including strategy, planning, and implementation, while gaining valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities
Drives detailed product Feature definition, including functional and non-functional requirements with a focus on data requirements.
Supports product implementation across the domestic or international theme park sites, capturing site specific functional requirements in partnership with on-site stakeholders.
Defines and documents product user stories to enable technical design, development, and testing.
Participates in scrum team Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily-stand ups, and retrospectives.
Represents and supports the data aspect of a given product or product component as the ongoing subject matter expert.
Gains exposure to database management, usage of SQL, and understanding ETL processes. Stretch exposure to R programming language.
Provides peripheral support in daily tasks for the current data product phases including data project intake and requirement gathering.
Supports the Digital Product Owner establish the product roadmap and coordinate with key partners to manage product delivery and implementation timelines.
Partners with Digital Product Managers to ensure product dependencies and integration points are considered during roadmap and release planning.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
A transcript is required upon application.
Preferred
Preferred majors include: Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or similar.
Preferred coursework completed: Project Management, Product Management, Business Strategy, Data Engineering, or similar.
