Definity is a property and casualty insurer offering a collaborative and innovative work environment. The Commercial Insurance Product Owner Co-op will support the delivery of business and technology roadmaps by translating business objectives into actionable items, assisting with product delivery, testing, documentation, stakeholder communication, and operational activities.

Responsibilities

Assist in the documenting of business requirements, acceptance criteria, test plans, risks, and dependencies
Work with the Product Owner to ensure that that backlog items are prioritized appropriately according to business vision and priorities
Participate in user acceptance testing against predetermined acceptance criteria and conduct post deployment production verification
Ensure relevant technical and business team members communicate regularly to bring high value technical recommendations and solutions to the product delivery process
Identify and escalate risks and issues to the Product Owner as necessary
Create project documentation, coordinate with the Product Owner to create communication and training material, and facilitate training sessions as required
Support business roll out activities
Support day-to-day operational activities

Qualification

Required

Expert communicator (written and verbal), able to interact professionally and effectively with stakeholders
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
Self-motivated and consistently demonstrates the ability to take initiative on any issue

Preferred

Preference will be given to those who are comfortable in Agile development and product management practices
