Bascom Hunter is a leading provider of advanced defense electronics solutions. As a Technical Writer and Marketing Intern, you will create clear, concise content for technical documentation and marketing efforts, gaining valuable experience in the high-tech defense electronics sector.
Responsibilities
Technical Documentation: Assist in the creation, revision, and maintenance of technical documents, including user manuals, product specifications, installation guides, and data sheets, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Content Development: Develop marketing content such as brochures, white papers, case studies, and blog posts that effectively communicate the value and capabilities of our products to various audiences.
Product Descriptions: Write and update product descriptions and technical specifications for marketing materials, websites, and catalogs.
Customer-Facing Materials: Collaborate with the marketing team to produce customer-facing materials, including presentations, newsletters, and promotional content.
Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit technical and marketing content for consistency, grammar, style, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor products, and customer needs to support the development of relevant and targeted marketing content.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and marketing professionals to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into accessible language.
SEO and Digital Marketing Support: Assist in optimizing content for search engines and support digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and website updates.
Brand Messaging: Ensure that all content aligns with the company's brand voice, messaging, and strategic goals.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Technical Writing, Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear and compelling content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
A basic understanding of electronics or technology, with the ability to quickly learn and explain complex concepts.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all written materials.
Ability to develop innovative content that engages and informs target audiences.
Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
A keen interest in defense electronics and a desire to contribute to the industry’s growth through effective communication.
