Diamondback Energy is an independent oil and natural gas company focused on unconventional, onshore reserves in the Permian Basin. The Oil and Gas Marketing Intern will complete an individual summer project and support energy transactions, sales arrangements, contracts, scheduling, reporting, and market pricing activities.
Responsibilities
Work on an assigned, individual Marketing project throughout the summer, culminating in a presentation of the completed project to Diamondback’s executive team
Support day-to-day Energy Transactions activity under the direction of an assigned, experienced mentor
Work directly with teams across Operations and other disciplines to experience what working in an Oil & Gas Exploration and Production company is like
Assist with daily scheduling and nomination functions, daily production, sales, and flaring reports
Collaborate with other departments such as Accounting to understand the accrual process
Review purchase contracts and summarize key commercial terms
Participate in on-site field visits to learn about field operations, including an active drilling rig and completions spread
Participate in intern events and philanthropic endeavors that support the Midland-Odessa community
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Energy Commerce, Energy Marketing (or similar) with a focus on Energy Transactions or similar discipline
Must have strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
Must be willing to work in Midland, TX for the duration of the internship
Must be returning to school for the Fall 2027 semester
Preferred
Cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher
