Ellis Brooklyn is an online beauty brand shop that provides vegan and cruelty-free sustainable fragrances, and they are seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern for their winter program. The intern will be responsible for creating and editing content, staying updated with social media trends, and assisting in the development of social media campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Edit videos and other imagery and content.
- Understand the brand personality and voice of the company and translate that onto the TikTok and Meta platforms
- Find trending sounds and videos that can be implemented into digital platforms
- Create content as needed for certain content assignments.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in social media and content marketing
- Be willing to adapt to changes in social media algorithms, trends, and platform features.
- Assist in editing, filming, or production of TikTok content as needed
- Pitch ideas and assist the Digital Marketing Coordinator in developing new social media campaigns and strategies to reach our audience
- Assist in the execution of social media advertising campaigns, if applicable.
- Conduct research to understand the company's target audience and their preferences.
- Use audience insights to tailor content and campaigns effectively.
Qualification
Required
- Interest in social media and particularly the beauty industry.
- Must be in their junior or senior year of university.
- Proficient knowledge of social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
- Pursuing a degree in marketing and communications, or a similar field
- Creative thinking and eye for engaging content
- Aware of the latest trends within the beauty, luxury, and pop-culture landscapes
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, able to take feedback
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Video editing skills and Adobe suite skills highly preferred
