Albany International Corp. is a global advanced textiles and materials processing company. They are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Communications Intern to support efforts in crafting compelling messages and engaging content for internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities
Assist in writing and editing engaging content for our intranet, e-Boards, emails, press releases, and social media platforms
Support the creation of visual assets, such as graphics, photos, or videos
Research and develop content ideas aligned with the company’s mission and goals
Help manage and monitor social media channels, including drafting and scheduling posts
Analyze engagement metrics to provide insights and suggestions for improving social media strategies
Respond to comments and messages on social platforms in a professional and timely manner, when required
Contribute to internal announcements, support communication for Human Resources initiatives, and employee engagement campaigns
Support the creation and distribution of communication materials for internal events and initiatives
Help coordinate communication, planning, and logistics for occasional employee events
Organize and maintain digital files, including communication materials and media assets
Support team members with scheduling, meeting preparation, and other tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Current pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed
Minimum GPA 3.0
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools
Basic design skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus)
Basic photography and photo editing skills a plus
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Strong interest in storytelling, branding, and digital communications
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly
