Hanford Mission Integration Solutions is seeking an Undergrad Intern for their Ethics Office. The intern will assist with the administration and data analysis of the Conflict of Interest process, including running database reports, preparing documentation, and supporting communication strategies within the Ethics and Compliance Program.
Resolving issues with management and staff to close out COI disclosures in a timely manner
Preparing statistical documentation
Conducting assessments and writing reports
Updating procedure(s) and working documents
Assisting with communications strategies for all of Ethics and Compliance, including presentations, weekly/monthly topics, etc
Assisting with scheduling priorities for the Ethics organization, including site-visits and deliverables
Database design or implementation (if purchased service), including customized reports and products
Qualification
Required
Intern should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: HR, Audit, Law, Business, Project Management, or another field related to ethics compliance
Must have one college term completed at an accredited college or university, must be enrolled as a full-time student, and live within a commutable distance from the Richland work location
Must have and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or above (include GPA on your resume)
Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks. This is a year-round internship
Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge
Strong attention to detail
Basic mathematical skills applied to business reporting, including the use of databases and Microsoft excel and the full suite of Microsoft office programs
Strong communication and grammar skills
Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
Preferred
Intermediate computer skills and familiarization with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Proven ability to engage and establish positive relations with others
Ability to give presentations in small group settings

In accordance with the Service Contract Act, this position is eligible for the health & welfare wage adder of up to $4.93 per hour.
In compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) direction, employees issued initial badges on or after September 1st, 2025, are required to obtain and maintain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential. To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a federal background check investigation.
