They are seeking a Summer Intern in Bioinformatics and Data Science to apply computational methods to biological data in a drug discovery setting, working closely with a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

Analyzing biological and chemical datasets (e.g., RNA-seq, single-cell, proteomics or screening data) using Python or R
Supporting development, testing and optimization of bioinformatics, cheminformatics and AI/ML pipelines
Documenting workflows and results in a reproducible manner
Presenting findings in internal meetings and contributing to reports

Qualification

Required

Pursuing a degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
Strong programming skills in Python and/or R
Some familiarity with common bioinformatics tools and libraries (e.g., Bioconductor, Scanpy, Seurat, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Understanding of molecular biology concepts (e.g., gene expression, sequencing technologies)
Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment

Preferred

Experience with single-cell data analysis, NGS pipelines, or cloud computing
Exposure to machine learning or deep learning methods in biological contexts
Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git)
