ONE Gas is a natural gas distribution company seeking a Data Science Intern for its enterprise analytics team. The intern will learn the data science lifecycle, analyze datasets, develop and evaluate predictive and machine learning models, execute a data science project, and present findings and recommendations.

Responsibilities

Work as part of the AI, Data and Digital Transformation team and learn key aspects of the data science lifecycle, from problem definition through model deployment
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights using statistical and exploratory data analysis techniques
Develop, test, and evaluate predictive and machine learning models to address business challenges and support data-driven decision making
Execute a data science project within the team's area of responsibility and present findings, recommendations, and business impact at the conclusion of the internship
Contribute to related analytics, data, AI, or digital transformation projects that support the team’s priorities, including emerging business needs, process improvements, or opportunities to apply data-driven methods in adjacent areas
Regular and reliable attendance is required

Qualification

Required

with an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems or Computer Science, but may consider other applicable majors
a GPA above 3.0
involvement in extracurricular and community support activities, particularly those demonstrating leadership
Regular and reliable attendance is required
40 hours per week

Preferred

students who are projected to graduate in December 2027 or May 2028
Prior work experience (internships, summer or part-time work while attending school, etc.)
