Corteva Agriscience is a company focused on leading breakthroughs in agriculture through science and technology. They are seeking R&D Computer Science/Data Science interns to work closely with senior scientists, participating in all phases of research while developing skills in a collaborative environment.

- Participate in all phases of research including planning, preparation, calibration, application, evaluation, and analysis with supervisor.
- Work in a safe manner and embody Corteva’s safety culture.
- Demonstrate independent and creative thinking by making novel observations, interpreting data, and drawing sound scientific conclusions.
- Present project reviews throughout the summer and a final poster before colleagues and peers.
- Engage with business users to gather requirements and use cases.
- Explore and implement AI capabilities within internal tools.
- Automate and improve admin processes (e.g., data quality checks, process automation).
- Pilot machine learning use cases to improve efficiency.
- Work on data-related projects (e.g., chatbot improvements, dashboard building and enhancements).
- Work with geographic information systems (GIS) to develop new data products and conduct assessments.
Qualification
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate work before the start of the internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Able to relocate to Indianapolis, IN or Johnston, Iowa for the duration of the internship.
- Able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a 6 month period.
- Past practical experience in a research environment generating data.
