Responsibilities

  • Take messy, fragmented information—spreadsheets, old reports, and legacy folders—and transforms them into a structured, categorized library that our senior estimators can actually use
  • Bridge the gap between "raw data" and "business intelligence." If you enjoy the satisfaction of taking a chaotic pile of information and creating a clean, logical system where everything has its place, you will thrive in this role
  • Work closely with leadership in the Tactical Solutions business area, seeing firsthand how data directly influences the competitive bids and strategic decisions of a global defense leader
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Qualification

Required

  • Must have completed your sophomore or junior year and be enrolled in a degree program for the fall of 2027
  • We will also accept students enrolled in a graduate degree program
  • Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Completion of college-level coursework focused on data management, database fundamentals, or business analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data cleaning)
  • A demonstrated ability to organize information logically and a keen eye for detail
  • U.S. Citizenship Required: Yes
  • U.S. Person Required: Yes

Preferred

  • Coursework that blends technical data skills with business application (e.g., a Business Analytics minor or an Operations Management course)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) or basic SQL knowledge
  • Previous experience (even in a non-technical role) where you had to categorize large amounts of information or improve a manual process
  • Ability to explain *why* a certain data structure was chosen, rather than just *how* it was built

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects
  • Career development opportunities through the LEAP Internship & Co-op Program
  • Networking with business leaders and other students in the program
