The intern will work on the Strategic Weapon System Preventive Maintenance Team, engaging in data analysis, predictive modeling, and collaboration with engineering teams to support impactful projects.

Responsibilities

Identifying valuable data sources and automate collection processes
Undertaking preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
Analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
Building predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
Combining models through ensemble modeling
Presenting information using data visualization techniques
Proposing solutions and strategies to business challenges
Collaborating with engineering and product support teams

Qualification

Required

Enrolled student at an accredited 4-year college / university having completed a minimum of two years (rising Junior)
Experience with Quantitative Data Analysis and/or Statistical Analysis
Demonstrated self-starter with organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with others
A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development
Ability to work collaboratively with remote team members leveraging an application like Microsoft Teams

Preferred

Familiarity with Power BI
Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages (e.g., R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
Experience working with and creating data architectures
Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques
