You contribute to ongoing research activities on the global solution of a specific parametric nonlinear optimization problem.
You implement solution methods for the problem of interest in object-oriented code while keeping an eye on computational performance.
You use state-of-the-art solvers to create benchmarks.
You drive an independent work task.
Qualification
Required
You are currently enrolled in a master’s program in Mathematics.
You have a background in non-linear optimization and are familiar with corresponding solution algorithms.
You have programming experience in an object-oriented language (e.g. Python, C/C++).
You have a good command of written and spoken English.
You enjoy engaging with advanced mathematical problems and deriving solutions.
You show readiness to tackle difficult problems, above-average motivation to implement and test developed models and algorithms, and proactiveness to come up with new ideas on how to overcome possible challenges.
